  • Gifts of appreciated securities are simple to make, can have an immediate impact on nature and may also provide you with significant tax benefits. A gift of securities is fully tax deductible at its market value at the time of your contribution.

    To Make a Gift of Stock to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Wood River Valley:

  • You can include a gift in your will, or name Hospice & Palliative Care Wood River Valley (HPCWRV) as a beneficiary of your trust, retirement plan, life insurance policy, or financial account. When you plan for a gift to HPCWRV as part of your legacy, you become a member of our Legacy Giving Program.

  • Make a donation to Hospice Wood River Valley in honor of someone’s memory. An acknowledgement will be sent to the donor and the family of the memorialized.

  • If you are 70.5 or older, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly to HPCWRV. QCDs are excluded from your taxable income, likely reducing owed taxes. QCDs count toward your required minimum distribution, and you can give up to $111,000 each year.
